Protect Ladera is an independent, neighbor-led environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting and improving Ladera Ranch.
We bring residents together through environmental education, community stewardship, volunteer action, and advocacy. We work with residents, qualified professionals, elected officials, government agencies, and community leaders to pursue credible answers to environmental questions and promote safer, stronger environmental practices.

Our mission is simple: Protect Ladera.
We work to protect the environment where our children grow up and our families live, our parks, open spaces, soil, water, air, wildlife, and natural surroundings.
We educate residents, bring credible information and qualified expertise into the community, create opportunities for neighbors to take action, and advocate for stronger environmental protections at the local, county, state, and federal levels.
Our Vision
A Ladera Ranch where every child can play outside, every family can enjoy our parks and open spaces, and every pet and wild animal can live in an environment cared for with the safest practices available. A community where our soil, water, and air are protected, unnecessary toxic exposures are reduced, safer choices are prioritized, and Ladera Ranch becomes a model for environmental stewardship throughout California.

Who We Are
Protect Ladera was founded by Ladera Ranch residents. We are neighbor-led, volunteer-run, and independent of the HOA and other community organizations.
Protect Ladera is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and a 501(c)(3) public charity recognized by the IRS (effective August 17, 2026). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
What We Are Not Claiming
We do not begin with assumptions about what has or has not caused illness in our community. Our position is precaution: when safer practices are available for our parks and shared spaces, they are worth choosing, regardless of what any investigation ultimately finds.
